The Stellar Fitness Studio is currently located in Downtown Clearwater. Situated on the corner a of recently renovated building, Stellar Fitness occupies over 3600 sq. ft and features 3 training rooms including a Pilates Studio, Personal Training Studio and Group Fitness Studio. The studio, which underwent additional renovations to create the calm, comfortable atmosphere Stellar Fitness in know for, also offers a lounge and reception area, an efficiency kitchen, bathroom and changing room. 



                                                               



The Story Behind Stellar Fitness

Stellar Fitness was created by Certified Personal Trainer, Nicole Gauthier,  and originally began as an in-home personal training service in 1996 in Brentwood, TN. Nicole trained her clients for over 7 years in their homes. Client's loved the fact that they could stay in their own comfortable environment and exercise with very minimal equipment and still get results without ever going to the gym. Still, Nicole wanted to be able to provide that on a different level. What if there was a place that was created to feel like home and you could exercise in a small group of people while receiving expert instruction? Nicole believed people would be more likely to exercise and stay consistent.

While taking a year off from fitness training to stay home with her first daughter in 2003, Nicole had the opportunity to experience gyms in the area and get a feel for the classes, instructors and atmosphere they offered. It was then that she discovered for herself  Yoga and Pilates. What she found is that Pilates, which is relatively new to the mainstream, is very difficult to learn unless your instructor has had years of experience, not a weekend course. She also found that she loved Yoga and the hour she spent in class was actually a welcomed break in her day. The low lights, soft music, and exercise that felt good inspired her to want to share it others.  Nicole knew that offering a high level of instruction, an environment that was welcoming and a variety of the best fitness classes, that she would be able to help others begin exercising or stick to an exercise program

In December of 2003, Nicole Gauthier, moved to Clearwater, FL with her family and began training clients in their homes again. She almost immediately began planning for a fitness studio that would appeal to not only herself, to her own Mother who would be considered a "baby boomer".

In the summer of 2005, Nicole was offered a job working on-air for HSN as a fitness guest and expert of ProForm Fitness and thus had the means to invest in her studio and by November of  2005 Nicole opened the first Stellar Fitness Studio.

The first Stellar Fitness location consisted of a one room studio and a waiting room. What it lacked in size, was made up for with charm.  Women and men of all ages, fitness levels and interests began attending classes and/or personal training sessions.  The location was perfect, but eventually lacked the space the instructors needed to service their clients.

As a Clearwater visitor for many years before moving here, Nicole always dreamed of creating a fitness facility in downtown to contribute to the ongoing revitalization. She had witnessed the Downtown area come to life as other businesses opened and thrived. Nicole's dream came true when she found the perfect downtown location, convenient from all directions and with plenty of parking. In May of 2007, the studio was moved to Franklin Street, its current location.

Since moving, the studio's community of students and clients has grown, but instead of crowed classes, we have simply added more classes to she schedule and have provide more trainers to meet our clients' scheduling needs. Stellar Fitness remains a "work in progress" as we are always adding more programs and offerings in order to serve you better.
